An easy grilling side...

Steak and asparagus, hot off the grill.

I love roasted asparagus, probably more than any other way to prepare it.  You get the same delicious taste by throwing the spears on the grill, but without having to heat up the oven or dirty a baking pan.  If you haven't already, try some asparagus like this the next time you are grilling.
Grilled Asparagus

fresh asparagus spears, washed and patted dry, tough ends snapped off
extra virgin olive oil
coarse salt and fresh ground black pepper
lemon wedges, to serve

Place the spears on a plate and drizzle with a bit of extra virgin olive oil; toss around to coat with the oil and season generously with the salt and pepper.  Toss on a hot grill and cook to your desired doneness- we like ours a bit browned, but still crisp.  Serve with lemon wedges, the spritz of juice adding a nice fresh bite that is perfect with asparagus (and green beans, too).
